Lawson is a chemical engineer.[1] She also co-founded and teaches at the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at University of California - Berkeley.[1]
Elections

Lawson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent California's 2nd District. She was defeated in the open primary on June 5, 2012.[2][3]
