Olin W. Shinholser is a former judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by former Governor Jeb Bush (R), effective in September of 2002.[1][2] He retired in December 2016.[3]

Biography and Education

Shinholser was born in Tallahassee, Fla., on September 3, 1952. He received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Florida in 1974 and 1976, respectively.[2][4]

Career

Shinholser began his career in 1976 as a private practice lawyer. He then worked as an assistant state attorney from 1979 through 1989. In January of 1990, he joined the Highlands County Court and, in September of 2002, he became a circuit court judge.[2][4]

2010 election

Shinholser ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[5][6]
