Norman Leahy has been writing about national and Virginia politics for more than three decades. He is an alumnus of the Washington Post, the Washington Examiner, Bearing Drift.com, RealClear Investigations, and many other publications and newswires. Along the way, he was an executive at a state policy think tank, a radio show producer, host, and commentator, and became an award-winning direct mail copywriter, too.

Norm earned an undergraduate degree from The Colorado College, a graduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, and is an alumnus of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia. He and wife live in Richmond, Virginia, where Norm is a member of the Poe Museum’s Board of Directors.
