Lawrence E. Jahnke was a district court judge for the Northeast Central Judicial District of North Dakota. He was the presiding judge for the court. Jahnke was based out of Grand Forks, North Dakota, which is located in Grand Forks County. He was appointed by former Governor George Sinner in May 1989, and elected for the first time in 1990.[1] He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term that began on January 1, 2015 and was to expire on December 31, 2020.[2][3] Jahnke retired on March 15, 2015.[4]
