James G. McGee, III is an at-large judge of the South Carolina Family Courts.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in January 2013 and his term will expire in 2019.[2][3]
Education
McGee received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995.[2]
Career
After graduating from law school, McGee practiced law with the firm of Dusenbury & Snow in Florence, South Carolina, specializing in family litigation. He remained with the firm until his election to the court in 2013. From 1997 to 2006, McGee also served as an elected official on the South Carolina House of Representatives.[2]
