Heidi Cesare is an interim judge for the New York City Civil Courts and serves in the New York City Criminal Courts. She was appointed to the court in February 2015 by Mayor Bill de Blasio and was sworn into office in April 2015.[1]

Education

Cesare received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her J.D. from Boston University.[2]

Career

Prior to her judicial appointment, Cesare served as an assistant federal defender with the Federal Defenders of New York. She also previously worked in the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society.[1]
