Jean Cotton was a 2015 candidate for the Grays Harbor County Superior Court in Washington.[1] Cotton applied to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Gordon L. Godfrey in 2014. The appointment was given to Stephen E. Brown, whom Cotton competed against in 2015. She also applied to the court in 2007, following the retirement of Judge David Foscue.[2] Jean Cotton lost the general election on November 3, 2015.

Education

Cotton received her J.D. from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, now Seattle University School of Law.[2]

Career

Cotton runs her own law practice in Elma, Wash. She has served as a commissioner pro tem and a judge pro tem in the superior court.[2]
