Amarasena Anura Rupasinghe was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Woodbridge Township School District school board in New Jersey. Anura Rupasinghe withdrew from the race before the general election on November 8, 2016.

Three of the nine seats on the Woodbridge Township School District school board were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbents Joseph Velez and Jonathan Triebwasser, along with A.J. Sidana, won election to the board by defeating Mubashir Ahmad, Rupal Patel, and Thomas Maras.[1]
