Education
McKelvie received a B.S. in political science from Weber State University. He graduated from the University of Utah with his J.D. in 1981.[1]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment, McKelvie was an assistant U.S. attorney, focusing on narcotics and violent crimes. He also taught at the S.J. Quinney College of Law.[1]
