A Cincinnati Fire District Levy Increase measure was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the Cincinnati fire district area which is in Tazewell County.

This measure sought to increase the current property tax in the district to one set at a rate of 4.975 percent in order to pay for fire protection services in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the extension limitation under the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law for Cincinnati Fire Protection District be increased from the lesser of 5% or the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index over the prior levy year to 49.75% per year for 2012?[3]
