A Kearny School Budget Proposal Measure was on the April 20, 2010 ballot for voters in the town of Kearny which is in Hudson County.
This measure was approved
- YES 1,578 (58.51%)

- NO 1,119 (41.49%)[1]
This measure sought voter approval of the proposed school budget for the town's schools. The proposed budget will raise property taxes by 4 percent, on average an increase of $109 a year. The budget will maintain the current level of activities and staffing for the schools though some after school programs may get cut if federal grants are not approved to help with programs. School officials were unsure what would have happened if the proposed budget had been voted down by residents.[2] This will raise the budget to $76.4 million for the year with $4 million in state aid being cut as well for the school year.[3]
