A Monroe County Library Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in Monroe County.
This measure was approved
- YES 16,913 (69.26%)

- NO 7,507 (30.74%)[1]
This measure sought to renew the current library levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further eight years in order to continue to pay for library services offered in the county.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| Shall Monroe County levy a tax of one mill (1 dollar per $1,000 of taxable value) for the years 2013 through 2020 in order to provide operating funds for the Monroe County Library System? This millage would raise an estimated $5,695,082 for library purposes in the first year after approval.[3] |
