A Vashon Island School Bond Measure was going to be on the November 2 ballot in King County for residents in the Vashon Island school district but it was later removed.
This measure was seeking to enact a $47.4 million school bond. The money would have been used to construct new school buildings including new classrooms and a new gym. The school board had decided on a November election date and not a February one because they hoped that the economy would turn up by then and the bond would have a better chance of being passed.[1]
