AUSTIN, Texas: The deadline for Texas residents to register to vote was October 5, 2009. Voters had until then to register for the November 3, 2009 ballot that will include 11 constitutional amendments for voters to decide upon.

Applications must have be hand-delivered to county elections offices across the state by the end of their business day or postmarked and mailed by that date. Forms for registration were found at libraries, post offices, or at the Texas Secretary of State's Official Website.[1]
