Eduardo "Eddie" Saenz Jr. was a candidate for the Place 2 seat on the Edinburg Consolidated School Board in Texas. He was defeated by fellow challenger Oscar Salinas in the general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Jaime Chavana did not file for re-election.

The November 4, 2014, general election in Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District featured four seats up for election. In the Place 1 race, incumbent Juan "Sonny" Palacios Jr. faced a challenge from Patricio Eronini. Place 2 incumbent Jaime Chavana did not file for re-election. Eduardo "Eddie" Saenz Jr. and Oscar Salinas ran for that seat. Place 3 incumbent David Torres did not file for re-election, either; Ellie Torres and John J. Rodriguez faced off to replace him. In the Place 5 race, Martin "Doc" Castillo ran against Xavier Salinas.

Funding

Candidates must file reports with the Texas Ethics Commission or the appropriate county clerk.
