Debbie Lindsey-Opel was an at-large member of the Corpus Christi City Council in Texas from 2017 to 2018. Lindsey-Opel was appointed by the city council on June 20, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the election of Joe McComb as mayor. She was sworn in on July 11, 2017.[1][2]

Lindsey-Opel was previously a 2014 candidate for the Place 7 seat on the Flour Bluff Independent School District school board.[3][4]

Lindsey-Opel earned a B.S. in marketing from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and an M.B.A. from Corpus Christi State University (now Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi).[5]

At the time of her appointment to the city council, Lindsey-Opel was the president of the public relations firm Three Dimensional Development. Her professional experience also includes work as the director of public affairs for the grocery chain H-E-B.[5]
