Herlinda Chico was a member of the Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees in California, representing Area 4. She assumed office on December 11, 2020. She left office on December 13, 2024.
Chico ran for election to the Long Beach City Council to represent District 4 in California. She lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.

2015
The city of Long Beach, California, held a special election for city council on April 14, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 16, 2015.[1] The city held the election to fill the District 4 seat, following Patrick O'Donnell's election to the California State Assembly in 2014.[2] Three candidates filed for the District 4 seat. Daryl Supernaw defeated Herlinda Chico and Richard Lindemann.[3][4]
