Barbara L. Hughes is a judge on the 4th Judicial District in Colorado. She was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter to succeed Timothy J. Simmons, effective December 31, 2010.[1]
Education
Hughes received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1980 and her J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1988.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Hughes was a magistrate on the Fourth District Court since 2000. She has also served as an attorney with Colorado Legal Services, Pikes Peak Legal Services and in private practice.[1]
