Jody Bishop is a judge on the Circuit 2 court in Alabama. He was elected to the court in 2012 and his term expires in 2018.
Education
Bishop received his undergraduate degree from Berry College and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.[1]
Career
Bishop served as a district court judge in Baldwin County from 2000 to 2012. Before that, he worked in private practice, was an assistant district attorney with the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office and served as a judge on the Fairhope Municipal Court.

2012 election
Bishop won the Republican primary on March 13, winning 70.74% of the vote. He was elected to the court after running unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3][1][4]
"I am running on my 13 years of experience as a judge in Baldwin County — 10 years as a District judge for the 28th Judicial Circuit and three years as municipal judge for the city of Fairhope. I wish to bring that level of experience to the serve the citizens of Baldwin County as their Circuit judge. I intend to faithfully follow the law as written and not make new law from the bench."[1]
