John J. Garaventa was a judge for the Superior Court of Tehama County in California. He was appointed by former Governor Pete Wilson in February 1998. Garaventa was elevated to the superior court in August 1998 upon court unification.[1] Garaventa retired on November 16, 2016.[2]

Education

Garaventa received a J.D. from John F. Kennedy University School of Law.[1]

Garaventa ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, he was automatically re-elected.[3]
