Andrew A. Valdez was a Utah Third Judicial District judge for Salt Lake County, Utah for the Courthouse of Matheson of the Third District Juvenile. Judge Valdez was first appointed by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in June of 1993. He retired on November 1, 2013.

Education

Valdez received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1977.

Career

He was a commissioned captain in the United States Army J.A.G. Corp and trial counsel with the Legal Defenders Association Felony/Homicide Division.
