Jane D. Fender

Jane D. Fender is an active/retired family court judge for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] Fender was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly on May 11, 1994 and retired in 2007.[2] She has been serving as an active/retired family court judge since then.

Education

Fender attended the University of South Carolina, Columbia, from 1965 to 1967, and Converse College from 1967 to 1968. She went on to earn her B.A. from Armstrong College in 1969. She then received her diploma from the National Institute for Paralegal Training in 1980. In 1984, she acquired her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.[2]

Career

Fender began her legal career as a paralegal for the Law Offices of Remler and Henderson. She then worked as a law clerk for the Law Office of Harvey L. Golden. She also worked for Nelson, Mullins, Grier & Scarborough in Columbia, South Carolina, as an attorney. More recently, Fender practiced law with the firms of Dowling, Sanders, Dukes, Williams, Infinger, Patterson & Meeks and Dowling Law Firm.[2]
