Three of the five seats on the Effingham County Board of Education were up for general election on May 24, 2016. There was no primary. District 2 incumbent Troy Alford and District 3 incumbent F. Lamar Allen ran without opposition. District 5 incumbent Vickie Decker defeated challenger Delmons White.[1]
