Shella Deen

Shella Deen is a judge of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. Deen assumed office in 2021. Deen's current term ends on January 8, 2029.

Deen won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) appointed Deen to the court on September 3, 2021, to replace Joshua Weinstein.[1]

Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Deen's appointment on September 3, 2021, identified her as a Democrat.[2]
