John C. Albert is a judge for Dane County Circuit Court in Wisconsin.[1] He was first appointed to the bench by then Gov. Tommy Thompson in 1999, and was re-elected in 2000 for a six-year term.[2][3] In April 2006, Albert defeated opponent Koua Vang in the general election by garnering 72% of the vote to Vang's 28% for another six-year term.[4] In the 2012 general election, Albert ran unopposed and was re-elected.[5] Albert announced his plans to retire in April 2015.[6]

Judge Albert earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.[7]
