Julie R. Selmon

Julie R. Selmon was a judge on the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas in Woodsfield, Ohio. She was appointed to the court by former Governor Bob Taft and assumed office on March 27, 2006.[1][2] She was re-elected to the court in November 2010 and term expired on December 31, 2016.[3]

Education

Selmon received her B.A. in political science and economics from Capital University and her J.D. from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.[2]

Career

Immediately prior to her appointment to the court, Selmon was both an attorney in private practice and an assistant prosecuting attorney for Noble County, Ohio. She has also practiced law with the firm of Smith & Coury Law Office and served as an assistant prosecutor for the Monroe County Juvenile Court.[2]
