Ballotpedia provides comprehensive election coverage of the 100 largest cities in America by population as well as mayoral, city council, and district attorney election coverage in state capitals outside of the 100 largest cities. This judge is outside of that coverage scope and does not receive scheduled updates.

John Thelan is a judge of the Northeast Central Judicial District in North Dakota. He was appointed by Republican Governor Jack Dalrymple on July 8, 2015, to succeed Lawrence E. Jahnke. His term began on August 1, 2015, and expires on December 31, 2018.[1][2]

Education

Thelan received a B.S. in economics from the University of North Dakota School of Business in 1978. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1981.[3]
