August 24, 2012

Upper Marlboro, Maryland: A 28-year-old man who referred to himself as "a joker" was released from a psychiatric facility by a mental health court judge to the custody of his parents in Prince George's County on August 21, 2012.[1]

Neil E. Prescott had allegedly threatened to load all his guns and shoot up his workplace on July 27, 2012. Police were able to confirm this after finding large quantities of ammunition, in addition to around two dozen weapons at Prescott's apartment.[1]

Though Prescott has been released to the custody of his parents, he is still ordered to continue his medication and attend counseling while he awaits arraignment. He is not to leave his parent's home unless it is for a medical or legal appointment.[1]

Prescott has thus far been charged with one count of telephone misuse.[1]
