Blanchard wins seat on Court of Appeals
April 6, 2010
Brian Blanchard handily defeated Edward Leineweber for a seat on Fourth Court of Appeals. Though results are not yet official, reports show Blanchard leading by 26 percentage points, with 63 percent of the vote. Blanchard is currently the District Attorney for Dane County, a position he's been re-elected to consistently since taking office in 2000. Voters chose Blanchard, who has never served as a judge, over Leineweber, who has been a judge on the Richland County Circuit Court since 1997.[1][2]
