Bill Bailey (Indiana)
Bill Bailey was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Indiana.[1] He was defeated by incumbent Todd Young (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2] Bailey won the nomination in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.[3]
In his announcement of candidacy on September 30, 2013, Bailey said, "Today congress is dysfunctional and unproductive. Congress is really the people we elect to represent us, and congress will continue to be dysfunctional as long as we re-elect those that have shown their inability to get anything done except argue. Members of Congress seem more interested and intent on finger pointing, political bickering and polarizing than governing."[1]
