Bonnie Crane Hellums
Bonnie Crane Hellums was the judge of Texas District 247.[1] Hellums first took office in 1995. She retired at the end of her last term which expired at the end of 2014.[2]
Elections
2010
Hellums defeated Democrat Mary Kay Green in the Texas District 247 general election, winning 56 percent of the vote.[3]
Education
Hellums received her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University, her master's degree from the University of Illinois, and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law.[4]
Career
Prior to taking the bench in 1995, Hellums was an attorney in private practice. She previously worked as the dean of students at Rice University for 15 years.[4]
