Carl James Daniel Bauman was a judge for the Third Judicial District in Alaska. He was appointed on August 3, 2007, by Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and opted not to seek retention in 2016.[1][2]

Education

Bauman earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Oregon in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1973.[3]

Military service

Baumen served in the Marine Corps Reserves and Oregon and Alaskan National Guard from 1969 to 1975.[3]

2010 election

Bauman was retained in 2010.[4] The Alaska Judicial Council supported his retention.[5][6] He is up for retention again in 2016.
