John J. Maddux is a former circuit court judge for the Thirteenth Circuit Court in Tennessee. He served on the court from 1984 until his retirement at the end of his last term on August 31, 2014.[1][2][3]

Education

Maddux received both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.[4]

Career

Before he became a judge, Maddux worked as an attorney in private practice, in both civil and criminal law.[3]
