Martha B. Brasfield is a chancellor for the Twenty-Fifth District Chancery Court in Tennessee. The court presides over Fayette, Hardeman, Lauderdale, McNairy, and Tipton counties. She has served on the court since 1998 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2014. Her current term expires in 2022.[1][2][3]

Education

Brasfield received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi College in 1970 and her J.D. degree from the University of Memphis in 1975.[1]

Career

Brasfield worked as an attorney in private practice from 1977 to 1987. She then served as a judge for the Tennessee Claims Commission, Western Division until 1998, when she became a chancellor for the Twenty-Fifth District Chancery Court.[1]
