Terry D. Terrell
Terry David Terrell was a judge of the First Circuit Court, Division K, of Escambia County, Florida.[1] He was appointed to the court in 1992 by Governor Lawton Chiles.[2] He served as chief judge from 2009 to 2015 and retired on November 30, 2015.[3]
Education
Terrell received his A.A. degree from Brevard Community College, his B.A. from the University of West Florida in 1973 and his J.D. from the Florida State University School of Law in 1976.[2]
Military service
Terrell served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.[3]
Career
Terrell began his career in 1977 as an assistant public defender for the Furst Judicial Circuit. He then worked briefly in 1979 at the law firm of Hosner, Taylor, Van Matre & Baker before returning to the Public Defender's Office later that year. There he served as chief assistant until he joined the circuit court in 1992.[2]

Terrell ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[4]
