Gisela Cardonne Ely
Gisela Cardonne Ely was a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Civil Division, of Florida. She took office in 1988.[1][2] Ely retired from the court on July 31, 2017.[3]
Biography
Cardonne Ely was born in Cuba on August 22, 1950. She received her B.A. from Barry University in 1971 and her J.D. from the University of Miami in 1976. She later returned to Barry University and earned her M.A. in 1979.[1][4] Cardonne Ely is a former assistant attorney and deputy city attorney in Miami. She joined the Miami-Dade County Court in 1982. She then became a circuit judge in 1988.[1][4]

2012
Ely was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5]
