George V. Spanos

George V. Spanos is a former judge for the Superior Court of Contra Costa County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis in November of 2000 and took his oath of office on January 31, 2001.[1][2] He filed for re-election in 2014, but due to facing no opposition, was automatically elected.[3] Spanos retired in 2017.[4]

Spanos received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1970 and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1975.[1]
