James D. Pagones
James D. Pagones is a judge of the Dutchess County Surrogate's Court in New York. He assumed office in 1999.

Education
Pagones received his B.A. degree from the Virginia Military Institute in 1972 and his J.D. degree from Western New England College in 1976.[1]
Career
Pagones began his career in 1977 working with the law firm of Pagones, Cross & Van Tuyl, P.C. In 1983, he left that firm to work as a confidential law clerk for the Surrogate and Supreme Courts, a position he held through 1992. His judicial career began in 1993 when he joined the Dutchess County Family Court. He then became a Dutchess County Surrogate and Acting Supreme Court Justice in 1999.[1]
