Tonny S. Beavers is the chief judge of the Paulding Circuit of Georgia.[1] He was appointed in August 2002 by Governor Roy Barnes, and won re-election to four-year terms in 2004, 2008, and 2012.[2]

2012 election

Beavers ran unopposed for re-election to the Paulding Superior Court.[3] He was re-elected after receiving 99.1% of the vote in the July 31 election.[4]

Education

Beavers earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, going on to receive his LL.B from the John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. He was admitted to the bar in 1975.[5]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment in 2002, Beavers served as the chief magistrate of Paulding County. He also worked as a sole practitioner and as a judge pro tempore of the Probate Court of Paulding County.[2]
