Marc Eric D'Antonio

Marc Eric D'Antonio is a Democrat and the judge of the Muscogee County Probate Court in Georgia. He first served the court as an appointed associate judge from 2009 until being elected judge in 2012 to replace Julia W. Lumpkin. D'Antonio won a second term in the partisan general election on November 8, 2016.[1]
Biography
D'Antonio received a bachelor's degree in political economy from Tulane University. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law with his J.D. in 1991. In 2006, D'Antonio began working at the Muscogee County Probate Court as a hearing officer and chief clerk.[2]

Judges of the Georgia Probate Courts are each elected to four-year terms.[3] The elections for this court type are contested and may be partisan or nonpartisan. To serve on this court, a judge must be a United States citizen, county resident for at least two years, at least 25 years old, a registered voter, have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an initial training course. In counties with populations above 96,000, judges are required to have at least seven years of experience practicing law and be 30 years of age.[4]
