2011 election
Veit was defeated in the general election on April 5, receiving only 26.19% of the vote.[1][2]

Education
Veit graduated from the University of Missouri in 1985 with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and J.D.[3][4]
Career
Richard was elected in April of 2007 to the Saint Charles City Council representing Ward 1. He is also active in the St. Charles County Municipal League, where he serves as the group's president.[4]
2010 election
Mr. Veit ran for judge on the 11th Circuit Court in Missouri. Veit lost the Republican primary to Matthew E.P. Thornhill, winning only 19.48% of the vote.[5]
