John Latella is a judge of the New York City Criminal Courts of New York. He was first appointed to this position in February 1987, and was reappointed in 2006 to a term ending in 2015. He also is an acting justice of the Queens County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 11th Judicial District.[1][2]

Education

Latella earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He received his J.D. from the Yale School of Law.[1]

Career

Prior to his judicial career, Latella worked in the New York County District Attorney's Office, the Attorney General's Office and as a clerk to a Federal Court of Appeals judge and a Federal District Court judge.[1]
