John R. Tassini is a judge for the Criminal Division of the Vicinage 9 Superior Court in Monmouth County, New Jersey.[1][2] Tassini was appointed to the court in 2002 and obtained tenured status in 2009. He will now serve on the court until he reaches 70 years of age in 2019.[3][4]

Education

Tassini received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. degree from Rutgers University at Camden.[3][5]

Career

Prior to his appointment to the Vicinage 9 bench, Tassini served as an administrative law judge in New Jersey’s Office of Administrative Law. He also previously was an assistant prosecutor for Monmouth County, served as a New Jersey deputy attorney general, and worked as a trial attorney in private practice.[5]
