David J. Mitchell is a judge for the Calais District Court in Washington County, Maine.[1] Mitchell was sworn in by Governor Paul LePage on July 2, 2013.[2]

Mitchell received his J.D. from the University of Maine Law School in 1997.[2]

Career

Mitchell has served as a district judge on the Calais District Court in Washington County, Maine since July 2, 2013. Before being appointed to the bench, he worked as an attorney in private practice. Mitchell has served as the Tribal Prosecutor in the Passamaquoddy Tribal Court in both Pleasant Point and Indian Township since 2004.[2]
