I am a former high school teacher, and proud mother of three, a dedicated community volunteer, and a nonprofit executive.

As a former educator, I understand the needs in the classroom, and that no two classrooms are exactly the same.

As a mother of three young children, I’ve got a personal stake in the future of BUSD and am aware of what parents need to be involved and connected to the district.

As a nonprofit executive with experience managing our family business, I understand the value of community partnerships and fiscal balance.

As a community volunteer on Roynon’s PTA, as vice president of the La Verne/San Dimas Educational Foundation, who has sat on the superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee and the district’s Wellness Committee, I am aware of district-wide issues and will continue to work alongside the community to develop solutions.

As someone who is involved in my kids’ school, coaches AYSO, and regularly attends community events, I will stay engaged with the community. I am an intentional bridge builder and a compassionate communicator who wants to go the extra mile in our community to live the truth that more unites us than divides us.
  • EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES: Every educational journey is different. I’d like to continue to increase and promote Career and Technical Education options, collegiate dual-enrollment opportunities and support for students with special needs. I also want to make sure we look ahead and consider other opportunities for our students, like dual-language immersion, to ensure we meet the needs of every student and remain a leader in education in the future. MAINTAIN FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Student education needs to be prioritized and protected. We need to be responsible with funds and aware of opportunities to pursue grant funding, community collaboration, or a bond measure.
  • STRENGTHEN HEALTH AND WELLNESS: Our students need to be well, feel safe, and receive the support they need. I want to build on the investment in mental health our district has made so that every BUSD student is learning practical tools for stress and anxiety management and has access to necessary interventions. There are incredible things happening across our campuses, and I would like to see those things celebrated and look for collaboration opportunities so that best practices are shared throughout the district.
  • SUPPORT FAMILIES AND STAFF: The educators in our district need to be listened to, uplifted, and have the materials, training, and community support you deserve. As a parent, I understand the need for proactive communication. I believe in our ability to put students before politics or partisanship and as a school board member I want to be a part of intentional community building.
Determination not to allow partisanship and the polarization of politics to divide our communities. Keeping in mind the core responsibilities of the office and fulfilling those responsibilities with integrity and transparency.
Putting students and their education first and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Target for the summer before college. Then I was an SES tutor and afterschool classroom instructor for Think Together in Azusa Unified School District.
