Board members at OPPD provide oversight and accountability on behalf of our customer owners. The role includes serving as directors of operations by setting what outcomes need to be achieved at the utility, as regulators in electric ratemaking, and as customer advocates for people throughout our community.
I am focused on leading OPPD in the early phases of the clean energy transition, with an equitable distribution of the benefits as we transition from legacy assets to new equipment and technology which will provide increasingly reliable and resilient energy services.

Public power works to meet the needs of our community with responsibility to help our customer owners understand both the costs for operating the utility, and the revenues which pay for those costs. This is described in the annual Corporate Operating Plan, with monthly updates on specific actions, and during quarterly reporting on progress toward goals. Top level objectives are set through Strategic Directive policies with annual monitoring reports submitted publicly for review and approval by the Board of Directors.
