Three of the five seats on the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District Board of Education were supposed to be up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Due to lack of opposition, however, the election was canceled. Incumbents Chuck Christie, Jane Smith, and Jim Taylor were the only candidates to file in the race. Because of this, they were re-elected by default.[1][2]
