Charbula earned a bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University and a J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.[1]

At the time of her appointment to the bench in 2017, Charbula was the director of the legal division for the 4th Circuit's Office of the State Attorney. Her professional experience also includes work as an assistant attorney general for the Department of Legal Affairs in Tallahassee and as an attorney in private practice.[1]
