Marshall Ferguson is a judge for Department 31 of the King County Superior Court in Washington. Ferguson assumed office in 2018. Ferguson's current term ends on January 9, 2029.

Ferguson won re-election for the Department 31 judge of the King County Superior Court in Washington outright in the primary on August 6, 2024, after the primary and general election were canceled.

He was appointed to the position by Democratic Governor Jay Inslee to succeed Judge Helen Halpert, who retired.[1]

Education

Ferguson received a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from the University of Washington.[1]

Career

Ferguson worked for 11 years at Williams Kastner, where he became partner in 2012. He served as a judge pro tem at Edmonds Municipal Court from 2017 to 2018 and as a disciplinary hearing officer for the Washington State Bar Association. His professional experience includes working as an associate attorney at Floyd & Pflueger and at Metz & Associates and as a Rule 9 Attorney for the San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.[1]
