Jones won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Fresno County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Jones was appointed to the court on January 2, 2019, by Gov. Jerry Brown (D) to replace James Petrucelli. She assumed office on January 4, 2019.[1][2]

Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Brown's office announcing Jones' appointment on January 2, 2019, identified her as a Democrat.[1]
